Churches Together in Balham and Tooting
About Us
Captain Marie Burr
People know the Salvation Army mostly for its charity work and we have a great charity shop in our building, which is open Monday to Saturday. In there you will find plenty of good bargains and opportunities to volunteer as well. But the Salvation Army is first and foremost a Church. We have services on a Sunday at 11 am, followed by refreshments and fellowship in our accessible coffee lounge from 12.15pm onwards. We are very welcoming no matter who you are.
We are always looking for new ways to engage in our community wanting to really live out God’s love in everything that we do.
Our Mission
The International Salvation Army’s Mission Statement is to Save Souls, Grow Saints and Serve suffering humanity, and we do this through the love and relationship we have with God and with others.
